Sony unveils PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary edition

Sony has announced a special 30th Anniversary Collection to commemorate three decades of the PlayStation console. The limited edition designs pay tribute to the original PlayStation, which launched on December 3, 1994. The collection features the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, which includes a PS5 Pro console with a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7 support, and matching accessories like the DualSense controllers, charging station, console cover, vertical stand, and collector’s items.

Only 12,300 units will be produced, with each unit number indicating the original console’s launch date. The PS5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle is also available, including a limited edition PS5 Digital Edition console with a 1TB SSD, DualSense controller, console cover, vertical stand, and collector’s items. Standalone limited edition versions of the PlayStation Portal Remote Player, DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, and DualSense Wireless Controller are also part of the collection.

The 30th Anniversary Collection will be available for pre-order starting September 26 for regions with direct.playstation.com access, and at participating retailers in regions without direct access. The PS5 Digital Edition bundle pre-orders begin on October 10. The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on November 21, 2024.
