Imagine if you had access to all your favorite genres and decades of music. Now, imagine if you could choose from a list of local, sports, or talk radio; listen to radio by location or, even better, by language? Visualize no more, because the Another superior feature of this app is its ability to stream Internet radio stations from other countries and in other languages. Want to know what Ethiopian radio sounds like, or listen live to an Armenian station? Here, it’s just as easy to find those stations as the classic rock station that Ohio’s streaming. Plus, this isn’t like any other radio app in that Livio is made specifically for your car. It differentiates itself by having large buttons, a simple interface, and an actual radio dial pad where you can enter in the numbers (in large type-face, it provides you with each radio station’s dial number) of the station you want to listen to.
There are only two downsides I could find. You have to have a Wi-Fi or 3G/Edge connection, and every once in a while when I would choose a radio station, the station could not be streamed; which is a bummer when you can see Los Lobos’ “La Bamba” is playing somewhere but you can’t get to it. But there are about 42,000 stations to listen to, so I bet I could find something else I like.
