Seuss up your Christmas cards with this iPhone app

I know you’ll try to resist it, because the Dr. Seuss Camera-The Grinch Edition is $2.99.  But you can’t.  Because it’s Christmas and it’s the Grinch and you want to randomly email Grinch-themed Christmas cards with your face in them to your family and friends until they start classifying your emails as spam.

If there’s a person born in this country, or even on this planet, after the 50s who didn’t grow up reading Dr. Seuss books, then they’ve been living in a poorly heated cave in the middle of nowhere.  Seuss’ books are iconic.  Everyone I know can recite by heart at least one Seuss children’s book (of course, most of the people I know are either writers, or parents, or both, so the odds are skewed a little, I suppose).

The Dr. Seuss Camera-The Grinch Edition is a fun little app that allows you to choose from a slew of Grinch-themed photo cards.  The card appears in your camera window with empty space for someone’s face, and after the photo is taken, the app shades the photo to fit in better with the Seuss-y coloring of the character’s face, though some of the card choices allow for a larger picture with a Grinch-themed overlay that don’t require coloring.

Cute little Seuss-y extras like stamps and borders can also be added to your card.  You’re then given the option of emailing the photo or saving it to a library.
