If you have an iPhone, snap a monumental photo of yourself in front of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, the Egyptian Pyramids or the Taj Mahal and send your friends a virtual postcard. (If you have an iPod Touch, you’ll have to upload your images later on.)
Using Postman, change the front cover with the picture, or another one you grabbed from from your photo library, then apply one of the ten designed themes to give your postcard a more authentic and classic look.
Use the Maps feature to show your recipient where you are exactly on Earth. Click on the “Back” tab and you can add a personal message. A toolbar along the bottom allows you to edit your text and even display the current weather. If you can’t take a picture- perfect photo, click on the “Landmarks” tab to choose from 20 different wonders of the world. When you’re done, click “Share” to send your greeting through Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, or e-mail.
Unlike traditional postcards, the sender doesn’t have to wait for an actual postman to deliver your message, which means your friend will receive the card in a fashion more timely than weeks after you’ve returned from vacation.
