Make plans with friends the easy way with Nextt, an app that lets you share hang out ideas, plan them, and communicate with pals privately.
Nextt (Free)
What’s it about? Quickly make plans with friends on Nextt, a private social network designed to help make sure that your half-baked ideas become actual events.
What’s cool? Nextt is an app designed for helping you make plans with other people, and making sure they happen. You know those situations in which someone says, “We should hang out,” and then it never happens? Nextt is there to prevent that. You can quickly create events and share them with other people, and then use the app to chat privately and hash out details. Each “idea” you create about a social meet up can get a self-destruct timer, so if you don’t come up with a plan before a set amount of time, the event deletes itself rather than hangs in limbo. You can add events to your calendar and see what you have coming up where and when, and invite people to hang out whenever you’re setting something up.
Who’s it for? Users looking for an app that can help them plan events and make things happen with friends should try Nextt.
What’s it like? You’ll find other apps that can help hang outs happen in HotSpot and Rally.
Shopi – Shared Grocery Shopping Lists (Free)
What’s it about? Shopi lets you share shopping lists with multiple people, and it notifies everyone when one of you is shopping to make it easy to add things to the list and keep everyone in the loop.
What’s cool? Sharing shopping lists is a handy thing to do when you live with other people, but it’s even handier with an app like Shopi. It lets you create shared shopping lists that everyone in your household can see and edit, so you always know what everyone needs whenever you head to the store. The app also notifies the other people shared on your list when you head to the store to actually do your shopping, so they can add to or adjust your list in real time while you’re at the store, thereby guaranteeing you don’t miss anything essential. Shopi also is smart about making your list handy while you’re grabbing things off shelves – it detects when you put the your iOS device down when you reach up to grab something and automatically locks your screen, then unlocks it when you pick the device back up again.
Who’s it for? If you live with anyone else and you share the shopping duties, Shopi is a great way to make sure you’re all always on the same page when it comes to what you need to buy.
What’s it like? You can share your shopping lists in other apps as well, like Grocery Gadget and Remember the Milk.
