Appolicious user Revew_It brought this cool new tower defense game to our attention from Artmatics and Dynamic Pixels Ltd. Goal Defense is an action-packed title offering 40 fun levels and some great cartoon artwork. It offers a sports-oriented spin on the tower defense genre as you control a group of weakling athletes who have to defend a huge trophy from a parade of awful jocks.

Thanks to Appolicious user tylerweitzman for telling us about the iOS app Caricature Booth from the Hadar Weitzman Group. Submit a photograph directly through this app and a professional artist will create a caricature drawing from it. Each order costs $9.99 for a black-and-white drawn caricature face, or simply pay twice if you want two people or a color portrait.

TEETHING ($0.99)
Teething is a casual indie game from developer Jake William Robinson (metzopiano on Appolicious). It’s a nice throwback to vintage era video-games with its pixelated graphics and chiptunes music. How long can you keep your tooth healthy as endless amounts of candy pour down from above? Thanks to Appolicious user ccocca for suggesting iPhone app ScratchTones. From Graphixware LLC, ScratchTones is a mobile 4-track recording studio right in the palm of your hand. Musicians can lay down a track, play it back through headphones, and record up to three additional tracks. Then, a mixer board enables them to adjust track volume and pan, master volume, reverb and add equalization effects.
