We’re a road trip family. Several years ago, we bought a road trip bingo game for the kids at one of those breakfast places with the little country store in front. Of course, the problem is that the board is static.
Enter Road-Trip-Bingo HD ($1.99). It’s a whole new world! My kids (teenagers) got bored with it after a few minutes, but they get bored with anything after a few minutes. They’re teenagers. Younger kids will be entertained for (hopefully) hours.
Road signs, clouds, different colored cars, cows, birds and more are all on the board, and with a tap, the board can be reset.
The music is repetitive and annoying to the driver, but luckily it can be disabled easily (or the kids can pop in some headphones).
The game can be played with a single player as well as two players.
I’m not sure why it’s designated as HD, because the little icons on the board are not really high-def, and it shouldn’t really matter anyway. But that’s a meaningless complaint.
This iPad app is well worth the $1.99 if you compare the price to whatever I paid for the cardboard version that’s been in the rear seat pockets of my car for the last several years.
