Before delving into this iPhone app, I was only mildly familiar with both Kings of Leon and Tap Tap Revenge. Kings of Leon is an alternative rock band from Nashville, Tenn. made up of three brothers and one cousin. Tap Tap Revenge is a spinoff of “https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apple-store/id358350909?mt=8″ app_id=”188762” target=”_blank”>KOL Revenge iPhone game ($4.99), you don’t exactly gain fifth member status, but you indubitably feel the pressure—and the excitement—of keeping the beat. The goal is to tap these flying circles as they cross the finish line (which consists of three stationary circles), all the while listening to KOL songs and pinning down the circles along to the beat. There are four songs to choose from, and you have the option to buy more if you’d like. In this game, four is the magic number, as there are also four different levels to choose from: easy, medium, hard, and extreme.
After you’ve tired out your own game and you’re looking for a challenge, your answer is just one button away — Battle. Here, with the help of Bluetooth technology, you can host or join a game with other Kings of Leon fans. The icing on the cake is the flashing headlines at the bottom of the screen that lead one to band updates, an informational (and humble) bio, and a listing of tour dates that start in July and go through September.
