You start off in Batman’s underground lair with the dark and clunky vehicle, and start the ignition by shaking your iPhone or iPod Touch. Then tap the afterburner button to see red jets blast your car onto Gotham City’s streets.
The Batmobile Game failed to impress me. There is only one level of game play and a bonus level if you manage to race through the obstacle courses with a high score. The only objective of the game is that you get out of the way of the objects in your path to beat your obstacle course time – oh, and maybe you’ll get a bonus round that reminds you of the same level you’ve just left.
I liked the look and feel of the game. Plenty of dark colors captured the gritty feel of the Gotham City from the movie. The details on the Batmobile were pretty great for a 99-cent game.
The Dark Knight: The Batmobile Game is a novelty game more than anything else. It could use more levels and harder obstacle courses to keep the average iPhone and iPod Touch user interested. Where’s my Joker? Where’s the action?
