Anything that promises to maximize my assets is a friend of mine. The Women’s Health Workouts app offers programs from the world’s top trainers and athletes, and after working out with it, I suggest this for any woman looking for new workout challenges.
I noticed muscle definition after a week (my thighs were on fire), which makes this app No. 1 for use during my gym sessions. It’s like having a top trainer on call, a bargain at $1.99.
I’ve been known to show up at the office gym with a workout torn out of the pages of Women’s Health magazine. Now I have many of those workouts on my iPod Touch. Still, many of the magazine’s workouts are not on this app so I’ll still be tearing pages from the magazine.
Here’s how I spent a week with Women’s Health Workouts:
On Monday, I built lean muscle with the “Get Killer Curves” workout. Tuesday, I burned fat with the “Melt Fat Fast” workout. I improved my balance with “Stronger, Faster, Sexier” on Wednesday, and by Thursday I needed a mood change, so I chilled out with “Ripped and Relaxed.” By Friday, I was admiring my new curves.
Most of the workouts require gym equipment, making this app a perfect gym companion but not so much for someone who works out at home with limited equipment.
Just like the magazine that arrives in my mailbox every month, Women’s Health Workouts is underpriced and overdelivers.
