Twitter just pushed out a new update for its universal app which changes the way things look in the iPad version, according to a blog posting on the company’s official website.
The sliding panels unique to the iPad version have been ditched in favor of a look and feel more like the iPhone app, or more like how Twitter feels when used from the website itself. Also, there are new profile pages and users can now add a header photo on Twitter.com, just like Ryan Seacrest did.
Photo streams have been added to profiles and events, just like the web-based version, and there are a number of “other improvements, polish and fixes” according to the iTunes App Store description.
The update is available to download today and the Android version also got a refresh to bring it up to version 3.4 with similar features and functionality to its iOS counterpart.
