These Dancing With the Stars iPhone and iPad apps will keep you on your toes

Bristol Palin beat out pop star Brandy to move on to the final trio of ABC’s hit show, Dancing With the Stars in week nine. Apparently, Bristol didn’t get Brandy’s memo: The mirrored disco ball is mine. As we move into the final week of competition, here are some iPhone and iPad apps to show off this season’s colorful cast of characters.

My money is on Jennifer Grey – after all, nobody puts baby in the corner (got that Bristol?). To relive some of Jennifer’s finest moments, before the nose job, download the iDirty Dancing app (99 cents) for iPhone.

Bristol can keep her political mother with her everywhere she dances to with the new iPalin app (99 cents) for iPhone. It’s a pocket Sarah Palin with all your favorite Alaska-loving, hockey mom sayings, jokes and statements.

If you are in despair over David Hasselhoff’s departure from the dancing show, check out the Ask the Hoff app (99 cents). Shake your iPhone like the Hoff shakes his tush on the dance floor to receive spiritual guidance from everyone’s favorite man in red Baywatch swim trunks.

Two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner might not have added a mirrored disco ball to his trophy case, but he is still staying mainstream with a free iPad app entitled Kurt Warner’s Football 101 Lite for Kids. In the app, Kurt and his football friend, Qubee, take kids and adults through a fun-filled, interactive tour of football.

Margaret Cho showed the world she is more than just funny on the dance floor, but, unfortunately, she was eliminated from competition and sent back to her comedy tour. To keep up with Cho, check out the free Margaret Cho iPhone app for exclusive comedy songs, tour dates, ticket information, YouTube videos, news and more.

America might not want to follow in his dance steps, but many folks love to sing along to a good old Michael Bolton tune. Check out the Michael Bolton Lyrics Studio app for iPhone (99 cents) to learn the words to all his songs, and sing along with his videos.

This season, viewers got an up-close look at the benefits of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s gym, tan and laundry routine while he appeared on Dancing With the Stars on hiatus from MTV’s Jersey Shore. If you just can’t get enough of The Situation, download the official The Situation app ($4.99) for iPhone for an exclusive workout routine, GTL finder, grenade-dodging game, message board and sound board. This app even had DWTS voting capabilities, which didn’t seem to help the Jersey Shore star much, given that he didn’t make the finals.
