Anonymity these days is passé for chefs, and anybody who is anybody has an iPhone app to back up their celebrity chefdom. Quick meals seem to be the theme of many of these apps, yet the queen of the 30-minute meals, Rachael Ray, has yet to launch an app.
So here are four celebrity chef iPhone apps that are a must-have for every foodie and wannabe domestic goddess. If you don’t see your favorite Food Network star on the list, check out the free Tyler Florence Fast iPhone app ($4.99) is full of function. Search by name or browse a vast library of his signature recipes. Set the cooking timer to alert you with your favorite song. Email Tyler and his helpers directly from the iPhone app with questions or chat with other app users. Create meal menus and combine for a custom shopping list. It’s not at fancy as the other apps, and the videos are all from a feed, so you need Internet access to view, unlike the other apps with videos mentioned above.
