Millie Was Here, Book 1: Meet Millie
This app was featured by Apple, and you can see why: it’s adorable, hilarious, and beautifully designed. The interactivity is incorporated into the book more naturally than other book apps, and is very clever and. It’s free to boot!

This is the best example yet of how to translate a film into a book app. the animation is beautiful because it was made for film, and the interactivity is inventive.
Pat the Bunny
Great for the youngest app lovers, this app is a great digital version of the original.
The Monster at the End of This Book…starring Grover!
This is one of the few “paper” books which was originally written to be interactive, and it translates well into this medium. Best for the pre-school set.
Millie & The Lost Key – Millie Was Here, Book 2
The second book in a fabulous, original series for young readers. Great for kids 3-10. This book series has been recommended to me by 4 separate educators!
Green Eggs and Ham – Dr. Seuss
If you are looking for a solid digital version of a print book, this is a great one. Nothing special on the interactive front, but it’s a classic book kids always enjoy.
