SpeakEasy 2 iPhone app makes recording a snap

The SpeakEasy 2 iPhone app ($1.99) is the latest version of the popular voice recording software SpeakEasy. Available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, SpeakEasy 2 is more than just a memo recorder. If you’re looking for a new voice recorder, why crowd your pockets with another gadget? Just download this app and get started.

The displays for the new SpeakEasy are pretty similar to the old one. Big buttons make it easy to use and very intuitive. It doesn’t take long to learn how to record a basic message. While this might not be the best program from recording concerts from the audience, it is great for recording lectures, speakers, interviews, and personal notes.

SpeakEasy 2 has some cool features that come along with it that makes this voice recorder my favorite yet. You can add a photo of your interview subject, title, and geotag the recording for help later on. You can also organize your recordings by category, making it much easier to keep track of everything, and you can share recordings or turn them into a personal ringtone. Record your mom saying something mom-like and then use it for her ring. SpeakEasy 2 also has a handy feature so that if you get a call while you’re recording, it wont mess you up.

This is a great app for anyone that needs to do some basic recording. For users of the iPod Touch, you’ll have to have the second generation version, otherwise you can’t record because you have no microphone. If you’re unsure if it’s right for you, give the free lite version a try first, but I think you’ll find it’s the best out there.
