Slices for Twitter iPhone app is great for power-users

If your Twitter use consists of following a handful of friends and a celebrity or two, OneLouder’s Slices for Twitter isn’t really for you. If you’re a Twitter power-user, this is the app you’ve been waiting for.

As its name suggests, Slices for Twitter breaks down your feed into pieces. While you can still look at your timeline the same as you would normally with tweets screaming in each second, you can also view it in slices.

Based on the people you’re following, Slices for Twitter actually breaks down your most obvious slices for you. For instance I follow a lot of people that tweet about Humor, TV and Sports, so the app created specific slices for all three interests. It’s similar to the “List” function on Twitter but you don’t have to do any of the work. You can also create your own slices with any combination of users you follow.

Slices also features a stats button with top tweeters, most mentioned, top trends and most retweeted tweets as they relate to your specific feed. The stats could be a little bit more revealing as they relate to your own personal tweets, but otherwise it is an insightful way to break down what everyone on your feed thinks is important.

Slices for Twitter isn’t exactly an essential app. It’s not that hard to pay attention to Twitter, but amazing how much more manageable the social network becomes once you break it down into bite-sized pieces of information.
