Showtimes is for the movie fan who decides during dinner or while running errands that now would be a good time to see a new movie.
Showtimes delivers what you want to know: where is the movie playing and when does it start? You can even click on a map to get you to the theater. And If you’re not sure of what to see, Showtimes links to reviews and trailers. If only the movies were as good as Showtimes.
Showtimes accesses the iPhone’s GPS function to find nearby theaters, complete with movie listings and showtimes. It works with the iPod Touch, too, as long as you are connected to Wi-Fi.
Clicking on a movie title provides the running time, rating, release date and links to reviews from the Internet Movie Database and Rotten Tomatoes. The Theaters section displays theaters near you and lists movies and times. The ‘Popular’ tab is a useful shortcut to find new releases. Just click on a movie title to nearby theaters and showtimes.
My favorite feature lets you change from your current location to somewhere else. This is extremely useful if you’re planning on seeing a movie in a different area later in the day.
