Sam’s Club means shopping big, but it doesn’t have to mean spending big. And the free Sam’s Club iPhone app can help you further reduce your bill.
If you are already a member of the land of 5-gallon jugs of mayonnaise, then you can sign into the app with your existing account. If not, memberships can be purchased via the app — but you can also access it as a guest.
Once you are logged in, the app provides you with a list of the closest Sam’s Club locations, complete with all the available services and the name of the general managers. You can also set the Sam’s Club location that you typically frequent as your default.
It also provides an absolutely enormous list or products, as well as a barcode scanner. Scan an item, and a detailed product description comes up, including price and reviews. Codes can also be entered manually, if need be.
Worry about getting lost in the warehouse-like store? The app includes a map to guide you through the aisles.
But the best part, of course, is the opportunity to save money. The “eValues” feature allows users to upload discounts to your membership card — or in this case, your phone.
