If giving virtual facials, massages and manicures doesn’t sound appealing, consider this: Sally’s Spa provides ample opportunity to separate customers from their cash.
At its heart, Sally’s Spa is about time management. The game is not as girly as it sounds, so there is no need for guys to be shy about playing. It’s not like you’re getting a real pedicure, after all.
In the game, you play Sally, and at first, it appears to be a simple game with simple requirements of escorting customers through a spa. But soon enough, you’ll feel the addicting pull: You’ll scramble to turn on the sauna, you’ll bolt to paint nails and your heart will break if you lose a customer.
As players explore the spa, you’ll encounter different customers with different patience levels. (Hint: Beware the rock star. He’s a big tipper, but you nearly have to follow him to keep him happy.)
Customers’ patience levels are represented by hearts. Make them wait and they will lose a heart. Make them wait longer and they become blue in the face. Once their hearts are gone, so are they.
Sally’s Spa isn’t difficult. Each level basically offers more of the same. The challenge enters when it is a lot more of the same. Clearing one service station in order to bring in another customer can get especially hectic.
But in the end, using skills such as budgeting and time management are the key to success. Besides, what’s wrong with a virtual facial?
I played the $2.99 version of Sally’s Spa, but a free version is also offered. The free version is the game’s first level, so download and play that first before you buy.
