Merry Christmas and happy Holidays! I love this time of the year. Just looked out the window, and we are getting our second snowfall of the year. I’m looking forward to a white Christmas! As we experienced on Halloween, photo frames and Mr. Potato Head type drag-and-drop photo stickers are in once again for this holiday season. Rudolph Camera for iPhone ($1.99) celebrates the classic movie with a bunch of festive photo frames and stickers.
Despite the fact that while using this app you feel as though you are inside an infomercial, it is a really fun app. The interface is very easy to use, and even has sound effects. The photo frames feature our favorite characters from the movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer that I will inevitably be watching sometime in the middle of the night during a 24-hour marathon of the flick.
Basically, you pick a card, and then snap a pic of yourself or others using either camera on your iPhone 4. The card will either have an open background, or will have you put your face in the place of the abominable snowman’s visage. Then, you can border and stamp that picture to your heart’s content.
Once you’re finished doctoring it up, you can send it out to all your friends via email. I knew you were going to be able to email the pictures out. However, I realized, while snapping a few pictures, that this is a great way to send off some Christmas cards to my friends and family, because, let’s face it, I probably won’t be buying cards.
If you have a couple of bucks to spend on a fun app that might just save you some time, it might be worth it. I enjoyed Rudolph Camera, but I think I’m a sucker for Christmastime. Hope yours is wonderful! Enjoy the season!
