Explain Everything is a favorite screencasting app among appoLearning Experts, and other tech-savvy teachers across the globe. appoLearning contributor extraordinaire Julene Reed sat down with Explain Everything Co-creator Reshan Richards to discuss what inspired the application’s invention, and how it can serve a classroom near you.
In this first edition of an ongoing series, we learn that Richards – a Middle School math teacher and doctoral candidate – was underwhelmed with the various screencasting technologies he experimented with before the advent of the iPad. Then everything changed.
“It was the perfect hardware to be able to do screencasts anytime, anywhere,” he explained to Reed. “But nobody at the time had been coming out with the type of application that I was interested in using.”
Richards partnered with Poland-based developer MorrisCooke to make his vision a reality.
Explain Everything is available to download for $2.99 on the iPad, as well as Android and Windows-based tablet devices.
