Qbism Unleashed a polished and challenging 3D puzzle game

There are countless puzzle games in the app store, each offering a slightly different take on the genre. Qbism Unleashed takes things a bit further by challenging the user with a 3D puzzle of blocks that must be aligned to create a specific shape. Aside from a minor control issue, this is absolutely one of the better puzzle games.

The object of the game is to move all of the scattered blocks into the shape’s outline on the screen. The screen displays the number of blocks that have been accurately placed out of the total number of blocks in the puzzle. All you have to do is tap on a cube, and slide it into place. You can also spin the entire shape by swiping your finger left, right, up and down. It sounds simple, but it’s actually very difficult to tell where the cubes are supposed to go. You will find yourself randomly sliding cubes around, trying to get them to fit into the shape. Also, once you’ve placed a cube in the shape, it doesn’t lock itself in, so you need to pay attention that you don’t accidentally move a cube back out of the shape.

There are three difficulty levels to play through. You start off with shapes that are 3 x 3 x 3. You can also play through puzzles that are 4 x 4 x 4 and 5 x 5 x 5. The larger the shape, the more difficult the puzzle is to complete.

The only issue I had with this game was with the controls. Part of the challenge is to try to solve the puzzle in the least amount of moves and spins possible. However, many times, I found myself moving the cubes farther than I wanted to. Other than that, this is definitely a game worth downloading.
