If you often read your Twitter stream on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you know that attached photos can be annoying to open one at a time, which causes a lot of back and forth between screens, as well as slow load times.
The PhotoNest does a nice job presenting photo tweets, but it only displays those. If you follow people who only tweet photos, this is the app for you, but as this is pretty unlikely, you’ll still need to keep another Twitter app close at hand.
Although I really like PhotoNest’s concept, I did experience a few issues that affected its overall rating. In my case, the iPhone app refused to load more than 23 photo tweets, which amounted to about 24 hours of my feed. After scrolling through the available tweets, the app started a constant refresh cycle (it never pulled anything new in, but the load animation never stopped), and that will be a huge battery suck if you leave the app running. Finally, PhotoNest only displays photos uploaded with TwitPic, which isn’t ideal.
