While there are dozens of photo editing apps available at the iTunes App store, Photogene is among the best. The app is perfect for those who want to do Photoshop-quality editing work on pictures, but don’t have the patience to wait until they get home to a computer.
Photogene allows you to perform basic photo editing functions such as cropping, rotating and skewing with a just a few taps of the finger. More advanced features include the sharpening of images, as well as enhancing brightness and contrast. Saturation and hues can also be adjusted in this app.
If you want to get artistic, Photogene includes special effects such as pencil, sepia or heat-map.
Don’t stop there, however. If you really want to get your photo Facebook photo ready, add a quotation bubble with some silly quote. Or you can frame your photo and add a shadow effect. Photogene allows you to do both, offering various styles, glows and glosses.
Don’t like the edits that you have made? Photogene has a simple reverse tool that will undo your recent action or even wipe the slate clean. You can also take photos within the app, as well as e-mail them to friends and family.
