As OMGPOP is seeing historic downloads for its new hit Draw Something, it is no surprise that the New York-based developer is rumored to be a hot acquisition candidate.
TechCrunch is reporting that OMGPOP “is in talks” with Zynga for a transaction estimated to be between $150 million and $250 million. OMGPOP to date has raised approximately $17 million. The company only recently began focusing on mobile apps.
The app currently has more than 25 million downloads (recruited in its first six weeks of being available) and more than 10 million regular users.
