Notesy iPhone app offers Dropbox syncing

If you’re still using Apple’s Notes, it might be time for an upgrade. New to the App store, is Notesy, a note-taking app that features a simple interface, and supports Dropbox syncing.

Creating notes is easy: Hit the plus sign, enter your note title, and start typing. The note auto-saves so you don’t have to worry about losing anything. Notesy works just fine as a standalone note app, but its real raison d’etre is its ability to sync with the cloud storage service Dropbox.

If you’re not a Dropbox user, you can create an account through Notesy, otherwise you just link the app to your Dropbox, and let it do its job. When you’re finished creating a note in the app,  Notesy will automatically sync with Dropbox. The same goes for edits. Because a copy of your note is put in Dropbox, you can edit or view Notesy notes from any computer. Using the Dropbox feature also means you can recover previous versions or deleted Notesy notes.

Although Notesy doesn’t offer much in the way of interface bells and whistles — you can change your font to fixed width, but nothing more — it’s less expensive than other Dropbox-syncing note apps available and probably will be a useful tool for Dropbox fans.

An iPad version of Notesy is coming soon.
