Film fans will find lots to love about Yeah! Movies, which kicks off our apps worth downloading list today. Created by AMC, the app provides users with the ability to stream movies, but also packs those films with extra information, interviews and more. It’s also a big day for great new games, starting with stealth title Republique, a game about surveillance and oppressive governments, and followed by Abducted, a sci-fi/horror game about a character who awakens on an alien space ship and can’t remember how she got there.
Yeah! Movies (iPad) (Free)
What’s it about? AMC’s version of the streaming iOS movie app, providing users with the ability to watch films with lots of reference information provided along the way.
What’s cool? There are lots of apps that let users stream movies to their iOS devices over an Internet connection, but AMC’s Yeah! Movies provides a lot more than just a great viewing experience. The app also includes somewhere between 400 and 500 pieces of information included with each movie, bringing insights like behind-the-scenes tidbits, interviews with directors and actors, references to careers for the people who worked on the films and more. Yeah! Movies includes hundreds of movies you can stream, as well as the ability to adjust how much side material is included with each film.
Who’s it for? Yeah! Movies is great for film buffs and serious fans of movies, as well as for people who just want to be able to stream movies on their iOS devices.

Republique ($4.99)
What’s it about? A stealth game, Republique puts players in control of the security systems of a facility called Metamorphosis, in order to help a girl escape her oppressors.
What’s cool? The result of a successful Kickstarter campaign, Republique is a game about helping a girl escape a facility filled with guards and spooky government officials. The Orwellian structure is even outfitted with tons of security cameras, which is actually a good thing: players can tap into those cameras to scope out the path ahead of protagonist Hope, helping her avoid capture and discovering new information about the game’s world along the way. Republique also packs great, console-quality visuals and voice acting to go along with its unique take on stealth gameplay.
Who’s it for? Players who like console-quality titles and interesting takes on stealth games will want to grab Republique.

Abducted ($2.99)
What’s it about? Taken by aliens and trapped on a living space ship, players find themselves trapped in a horror adventure in Abducted in which the only goal is escape.
What’s cool? Waking up in a huge alien space craft is creepy enough, but that’s only where Abducted gets it start. As the amnesiac protagonist Eve, you’re tasked with figuring out how you got on the ship and what’s going on, and most importantly, how to escape. Along the way you’ll gather information about the ship by investigating different elements like terminals and defensive tentacles, and use special powers to manipulate and alter the living landscape around you. There are also puzzles to solve and enemies to fight, as Abducted creates a horror atmosphere that leaves players struggling to survive and learn about what’s happening to them.
Who’s it for? Fans of horror titles, science fiction and adventure gameplay should try getting caught up in Abducted.
