Our Apps Worth Downloading column today starts with VoxPixl, an app that brings a new dimension to sharing photos by allowing its users to add voice to their images. We’ve also got Jim Henson’s Chatter Zoo, an app that teaches kids skills like responsibility by allowing them to care for virtual baby animals. Finally, there’s Fashion Eye, a game in which fashion addicts square off against one another to see who’s more knowledgeable, and can also purchase the things they find through the app.
VoxPixl (Free)
What’s it about? Combine voice and images to create a unique way of sharing your life with others using VoxPixl.
What’s cool? VoxPixl looks to take sharing photos up a notch with one simple addition: instead of just encouraging users to snap photos, apply filters and send them out onto the Internet, VoxPixl lets you apply commentary to your shots by recording 30 seconds of voice to go with them. Once you’ve recorded your voiceover, you can share your VoxPixl photos just like images shared normally, and other users can access the voice files attached to them even if you share across Facebook, Twitter, text or email. You can also add filters, text captions, tags and location data to your images to make it easy to find what you’re looking for later.

Jim Henson’s Chatter Zoo ($1.99)
What’s it about? Jim Henson’s Chatter Zoo encourages young children to take care of virtual animals, while also presenting them with two interactive stories to experience, as well.
What’s cool? Everybody loves baby animals, and Jim Henson’s Chatter Zoo hopes to make use of cute cartoon baby animals to teach young children about animals and responsibility, as well as skills in reading. Kids can take care of four baby animals and learn skills in doing so, and they can also take part in two different interactive stories with the animals, as well. The stories and other elements of the app work together to empower kids, teach them about various objects and other things in the zoo, and make them feel important to their animal friends.
Who’s it for? Chatter Zoo is designed for kids between two and three years old.

Fashion Eye: Play With Style (Free)
What’s it about? Turn having an eye for fashion into a challenging game with Fashion Eye: Play With Style.
What’s cool? Fashion Eye challenges players to guess which of two items is more expensive, turning having a great eye for fashion into a game. You’ll face off against other players and friends to see who has a better sense of fashion, earn badges as you win matches, and even potentially take home a gift card you can put toward buying an outfit through the app. Fashion Eye also allows you to keep track of the items you see through the course of the game on your “Luv” list, and you can even purchase anything you find with the app’s Buy button.
