Start the week with as much organization as possible with Sooner, a calendar app that brings a different kind of user interface to your task-management. Following that, we’ve got ElfYourself, an app for making goofy videos of dancing elves using the faces of your friends and family. Finally, there’s KnightScape, a Temple Run-style runner with a lot of cool additional features.
Sooner ($0.99)
What’s it about? Sooner is a to-do list app with an interesting take on its user interface, which uses circles and wheels in addition to lists.
What’s cool? Rather than making use of a lot of lists and checkboxes, Sooner utilizes wheels to allow you to organize your day. You can drag items on your schedule into different slots, quickly group them together, and set multiple reminders to keep you on-task. Sooner syncs with iCal and allows everything to be color-coded for even further organizational control. It’s also on sale through today, so if you’re interested, now’s the time to grab it.
Who’s it for? To-do list users and those who make heavy use of online calendars will find a new way to organize with Sooner.

ElfYourself by OfficeMax (Free)
What’s it about? OfficeMax has created a mobile app version of its popular holiday website, ElfYourself, which allows users to put photos of themselves and friends on the bodies of dancing Santa’s helpers.
What’s cool? As far as goofy holiday novelties go, ElfYourself is pretty high on the list. Taking photos of the faces of your friends, family, and even pets allows you to add them to the heads of dancing elves, and then put them together in a big video in which the elves, you know, dance around. It can be pretty funny, and when your video is created, you can share it through Facebook or email.
Who’s it for? Anyone who wants to get into the holiday spirit with a bit of goofy video fun should check out ElfYourself, especially because it’s free.
What’s it like? Try Elf Ur Face and Santa Booth for more holiday photo fun.
KnightScape (Free)
What’s it about? KnightScape combines Temple Run-style running action with sword-fighting, dragons and more to make something of a hybrid action game.
What’s cool? The coolness of KnightScape is in its ability to effectively combine a lot of different elements. On the one hand, it’s an over-the-shoulder 3-D running title, but it also includes swordfights and boss battles. Then it throws in a few role-playing elements, allowing players to buy and upgrade their character’s equipment to make him a more effective hero. KnightScape hits the running portion of the game well, and instead of dying when you collide with obstacles your knight loses some health, which he might need for an upcoming battle. Right now, KnightScape includes nine levels, and it sounds like more are on the way through additional updates.
Who’s it for? Fans of running titles and a little Medieval swordsmanship will get a kick out of KnightScape.
What’s it like? You’ll find some similar experiences in Temple Run, obviously, and One Epic Knight.
