Avengers Initiative update ($6.99)
What’s it about? A new episode has been added to Avengers Initiative, expanding the story and allowing players to take on the role of Captain America.
What’s cool? Last time on Avengers Initiative, you got to play as the Hulk and smashed in a lot of bad guys’ heads. In Episode 2, you play as Captain America and are tasked with rooting out a mole in S.H.I.E.L.D., which means more one-on-one fights with bad guys, but this time with new moves and new story information. Like Hulk, you can also customize Captain America with lots of unlockable gear. You’ll also be facing all new enemies from Cap’s nemeses, Hydra, and adventure through new locales.
Who’s it for? Avengers fans, this game just got even cooler. It’s also great for players who enjoy action games with high-quality graphics.
What’s it like? Avengers Initiative uses a similar set of mechanics to Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade II, so check those out, as well as Stargate Command’s “Teal’c’s Revenge.”
You Don’t Know Jack (Free)
What’s it about? The hilarious trivia game You Don’t Know Jack is back, this time in a mobile app version of the social game on Facebook.
What’s cool? You Don’t Know Jack is one of the funniest games on Facebook or iOS, so it’s well worth your time. The social game elements mean you can play the trivia title by yourself, and then challenge your friends to beat your scores when they play as well. Inviting your friends to play earns you in-game currency you can use to buy boosters to help you amp up your scores, and the more you play, the more (extremely funny) fake commercials and sponsorships you’ll unlock along the way.
Who’s it for? If you like all kinds of trivia, as well as bit of edgy comedy to go with it, you’ll definitely enjoy You Don’t Know Jack. It’s even better if your Facebook friends play, too.
