Once you’ve got your shot, Camera+ includes a number of editing features, like one-touch filters. The app’s latest update throws in even more editing features with The Lab, which includes settings like exposure, temperature, soft focus, duotone, exposure, sharpness and more.

Who’s it for? Anyone interested in getting great photos out of their iOS devices should give Camera+ and its new update a try.

Note Anytime (Free)

What’s it about? Take notes on images, mark up PDFs, save your ideas to the cloud and share them across social networks with note-taking app Note Anytime.

What’s cool? As its name suggests, Note Anytime is a note-taking app that lets you jot down thoughts, lists, information and just about anything else into saveable bits using your iOS devices. But the app provides quite a few more capabilities than just taking notes, like the ability to mark up and save PDF files and to create drawings and full access to files like images and documents that are saved to cloud services such as Google Drive. You can also do things like browse the Internet and mark up sites from within the app, and everything you make can be shared with other users by email or through social networks.

What’s it like? Similar features are available in other notes apps, such as Evernote or Penultimate.

Cut the Rope 2 ($0.99)

What’s it about? Rope-cutting puzzles and super-cute monster Om Nom are back in Cut the Rope 2, which adds new features to the game’s signature physics puzzles.

What’s cool? More physics-based puzzles are back in Cut the Rope 2, the series that’s about manipulating a candy to fall into the mouth of a cute monster named Om Nom who is waiting to be fed. Cut the Rope 2 sees the return of Om Nom and the addition of lots of new puzzle elements to the title, while maintaining things like ropes to be cut, bubbles to be pushed, balloons to be popped, and more. Puzzles step up their complexity a touch in the new game with the addition of being able to move Om Nom as well as other objects, and new characters change the way objects move and behave in each of the puzzles. There are also new challenges for each level, like earning only one star or hitting a particular score or time, that provide players with a good reason to replay the game and try to increase their skills.

Who’s it for? Players who like casual puzzle games and smart use of physics will want to dig into Cut the Rope 2.

What’s it like? Don’t forget to check out the earlier titles in the franchise, including Cut the Rope: Time Travel and Cut the Rope: Experiments.
