Bloglovin’ (Free)

What’s it about? Bloglovin’ makes it possible to follow any blog on the Internet, allowing you to keep up to date with its posts wherever you are.

What’s cool? There are tons of blogs all over the Internet, and because they’re usually run by people who don’t blog for a living, catching their updates can be haphazard. Bloglovin’ takes the guess work out of reading your favorite blogs by allowing you to “follow” them. The app catches updates to any blog on the web and sends them to your iOS device, aggregating them and making them a little easier to read. Bloglovin’ also brings you suggestions in various categories, to help you find the best blogs out there.

Who’s it for? If you like reading what the web has to offer, Bloglovin’ makes it easier.

What’s it like? Grab Feedly and Rockmelt to extend your blog-reading means.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (iPad) ($9.99)

What’s it about? One of the highest-regarded role-playing games ever, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic brings a great Star Wars story to your iPad.

What’s cool? Set thousands of years before the Star Wars films, Knights of the Old Republic tells its own story of the universe’s Galactic Republic at war with the vast and frightening Sith Empire. Players take on the role of a Jedi Knight embroiled in the conflict, and gives you the ability to choose your own path through the expansive story – stick with the Light Side, fall to the Dark Side, or end up somewhere in the middle. Knights of the Old Republic was well-loved for years on the Xbox and PC, and it shouldn’t be missed on iPad.

Who’s it for? Star Wars fans and anyone who likes a great RPG and well-told story should definitely grab this one. It’s a classic.

What’s it like? Another great classic RPG now available on iPad is Baldur’s Gate.

World War Z ($4.99)

What’s it about? Fight off zombies in a first-person action game based on the upcoming film in World War Z.

What’s cool? The zombie apocalypse is (once again) upon us, and in World War Z, that means fighting fast-moving monsters with everything from crowbars to machine guns. The game is set in the same world as the film but in a different city, and has players working through 28 different levels filled with combat, puzzles and upgradable weapons to help you become a more effective zombie-slayer. There’s also a challenge mode to keep you busy.

Who’s it for? Fans of zombie titles and quality first-person experiences will get excited for World War Z.

What’s it like? Try developer Phosphor Games’ other great titles – Horn and Dark Meadow.
