As Instagram proved this week, there is gold in photo-sharing apps. Even iconic apps like Bump are mining the trend by featuring their own photo-sharing capabilities.
That’s right, the one billionth app downloaded from iTunes that taught the world how to share contacts by bumping their iPhones (in showcasing the whimsical possibilities the device provides) semi-quietly introduced a new beta feature today.
Available to activate at photos.bu.mp, the feature lets Bump users easily share photos between their iPhones and computers (so long as they are on the same network, presumably Wi-Fi).
Here’s how it works. After downloading the new feature, users can select a photo on their phone. From there, they tap the spacebar to make the connection. Once the photo is approved, it will display on the computer screen and become available to download, share or email.
Pretty sweet. It may take a bump or two of the spacebar to work properly, but this tweak in functionality reminds us why we so loved Bump in the first place.
