It was only a matter of time that the Comcast/NBC-owned Versus Network would re-brand under one beautifully synergistic umbrella. That time has finally come, as the Versus app has become the free NBC Sports Talk app. The NBC Sports Talk app is now a one-stop shop no matter what sport you favor. The app has combined apps like ProFootballTalk, ProHockeyTalk and ProBasketballTalk into one smooth app where users can bounce from sport to sport and get all the latest news and scores.
Gympact (Free)
Gympact offers you a chance to put your money where your mouth is. If you really think you’ll stick to your New Year’s resolution to get to the gym more often, you can create a pact with the app involving real money. If you check-in to the gym as often as you say you will, then you have nothing to worry about. Start skipping days though and you’ll find your bank account dwindling. Gympact is a fascinating concept to help motivate people who need more stakes in their gym membership. If losing money for not working out doesn’t motivate you, nothing will.
Buffer (Free)
If you ever feel so full of thoughts that you start blasting out tweet after tweet before immediately feeling guilty for overwhelming everyone’s Twitter feeds with your ravings. Buffer could be a boon for both you and your followers. The app lets you compose and then time release tweets so that instead of sending 20 tweets in 20 minutes, you can spread those 20 tweets out over a much longer stretch of time.
InstaFlow (Free)
InstaFlow gives Instagram users a new way to view their photos. Once users connect to their Instagram account in InstaFlow, users can quickly find their own photos and the photos of their friends. Clicking on a particular photo also opens up a new set of related photos, creating a sort of endless labyrinth of photos to browse if you so choose.

There’s no party like a CES party because the CES party don’t stop (for roughly three days, anyway). And now you can keep track of the party with the Official 2012 International CES app. The app has features both for attendees, and for curious observers. Attendees can see a detailed show map and exhibitor directory, while people who just want to know the latest tech news can follow the in-app Twitter feed as well as the news hub. If you’re into consumer electronics, this is the app to have this week.
