Kindle – Read Books, eBooks, Magazines, Newspapers & Textbooks
Love this app both for getting books but more importantly for checking out library books electronically. Super helpful as a back up for your paper book.
NOOK from Barnes & Noble – Read 2 Million Books, Free Books, Magazines, and Newspapers
I have at least one book I’ve purchased from NOOK so this will stay on my phone.

OverDrive – Library eBooks and Audiobooks
I need to first state that I’m not at all a huge fan of ebooks. There’s something about the physical feel of paper that I just greatly prefer over a screen. That said, when it comes to travel, ebooks make sense. But most importantly, free ebooks make a lot of sense and that’s where this app comes in handy. The app allows you to download books and audiobooks on “loan” from your library. The app is easy to use and super simple to navigate. If you’re a library fan and an ebook fan this is a required app.

Just like NOOK, I have a book I purchased here so I keep it around for that alone. Likely with Kindle’s library interactivity I’d be down to that one were it not for the purchased books elsewhere.
