Apple CEO Tim Cook announced today at the Worldwide Developer’s Conference that more than 30 billion iOS apps have been downloaded since the platform debuted four years ago.
Further, there are 400 million accounts set up on the iTunes App Store. These accounts can now download more than 650,000 applications, of which 225,000 are available specifically for the iPad.
The headline news of the first hour of the keynote was the announcement of a new “radically thin” MacBook Pro. The $2,100 device, which ships today, will be twice as fast as previous versions.
