MLB.com 11 now available for for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices

More than Groundhog Day and pitchers and catchers reporting, nothing signals the impending arrival of spring more than the release of new official mobile applications from Major League Baseball.

Hot off the presses for iPhone, iPad and Android-based devices is MLB.com At Bat 11. A must-have app for any baseball fan, and for years now arguably the most forward-thinking and functional app available, MLB.com At Bat 11 is available for the 2010 price of $14.99 across the iOS and Android platforms.

Between now and opening day on March 31, the apps will feature Spring Training-specific content including live video streaming of approximately 150 games (video feeds to all the games require a separate MLB.TV subscription, but consumers who download the app will get a free preview). The app also includes radio broadcasts, team video libraries and breaking news.

Beyond live video and audio access to every game once the season debuts, expect ongoing updates and innovations from Major League Baseball that consider fans who follow the games on the go (or even at the office).

Home run features from previous At Bat editions we should expect include:

  • Condensed games
  • Video highlights
  • Pitch-by-pitch Gameday feature
  • The ability to watch games from multiple camera angles
  • The ability to order games for 99 cents a pop later in the season (if you don’t have an MLB.TV subscription)
  •
