Meet the Members: Chris Sully (@csully)

Chris Sully, from Cypress, TX, is an all-around tech geek, app lover and social media strategist. Check out his 143 apps, app reviews, and list of the best fling controller game apps.

1. Tell us about yourself – where you live, your job, things you like to do.

I am a social media strategist for a large company in Houston, TX, as well as owner of JumpstartMyPC.com. I love gadgets, technology, TV, movies, concerts, gaming, and working out. I’ve found a way to incorporate apps into every one of those things.

2. Which iOS device or devices do you own? Why did you choose iPhone or iPad?

I own an iPhone 4 and an iPad. I simply love apps and I use both devices for several hours a day. The iPad is great for long commutes, but the iPhone gives me much more flexibility and a constant 3G connection.

3. Is there a particular category of apps that interests you the most?

Right now, the check-in apps, like foursquare, Gowalla, GetGlue and SCVNGR have my attention. I also recently started using Instagram and some other photo apps.

4. What are your top apps and why?

  • iFitness – This one keeps me on track at the gym.
  • foursquare – I am addicted to badges and mayorships.
  • TweetBot Twitter rocks and this app adds so much more than the official Twitter app.
  • Words With Friends – I love word games and now tracking someone down to play isn’t such a chore.

5. What apps are popular among your colleagues and friends?

TwitPic, Twitter, foursquare, Angry Birds, and Google Maps.

6. Give an example of a time an app was truly useful to you.

Definitely Google Maps – I’ve been lost a few times and Maps has worked like a charm to help me find my way back home.

7. What other Appolicious member do you admire the most and why?

@jessicadally – I would love to be able to review that many apps. I just can’t seem to find the time.

8. Do you have URL’s you’d like to share?

BLOG: http://www.jumpstartmypc.com/blog is my baby. I love sharing information that helps PC users get the most out of their computer. The information is FREE and I just wish I could reach out to more people who would benefit from the information.

9. Anything else you’d like to share with the Appolicious audience?

I love to interact with people. It doesn’t matter if it is Instagram (@instantcolor), Twitter (@CSSully), Google+, my blog or any other site. I like, comment and share all the good information that crosses my path.
