The ϋber-popular and free Lose It! (free) iPhone app recently added motivators to its All-Star lineup of free functions. As soon as I heard about this, I just knew it was going to be the one thing to finally get me over my diet hump. I’ve been working out for weeks, but the scale just won’t budge! Counting calories is my last hope, and I need that reminder to track my daily intake.
So, you can imagine my disappointment when I swiped the button to set a breakfast reminder and swiped again, to no avail. Eager to pinpoint the problem, I emailed the [email protected] email address I found on their Web site and explained my conundrum. In less than five minutes, my hero, Jay, emailed me back to tell me to tap gently instead of swiping. It worked! Now I get a push reminder to enter my calories every morning, and at night before I hit the sack.
While I was on www.loseit.com, I noticed some additional handy reports/graphs that you don’t get on the iPhone app, so make sure you check out the Web site too.
The Lose It! iPhone app makes it so easy to track calories on a daily budget, and compare that with your calories burned from exercise. It’s a lazy dieter’s dream.
If you are really motivated, you can share your progress with your Facebook and Twitter friends. No way am I doing that, because nobody needs to know I ate a whole economy-size bag of Peanut M&M’s as my breakfast and lunch today. Oh wait, I just told all of you.
