I’ll admit it: I freaked out a little when I thought I wasn’t a Scorpio anymore. And, I was thoroughly relieved to find out that our signs based in Western astrology had not actually changed. However, in Eastern astrology I’m now a Libra. Commence nervous breakdown.
I’ve always consulted my horoscope before embarking on a big life change. Once, a horoscope in one of my favorite magazines even matched down to the week that I was going to be let go from a job. Ever since then, that magazine graces my coffee table monthly. Thank to the social graces of technology though, I can now download an app for that. Here are some of my favorite astrology apps to keep me going between magazine release dates.
Daily Life Predictions via Astrology Apps
The ELLE Astrology app ($2.99) is stellar for everyday readings as well as weekly predictions. In addition to daily readings, this astrology app includes weekly, monthly, love, career and health horoscopes. Ladies and gentleman alike won’t want to accept another date before they use the compatibility function based on astrological sign. Be careful, this app is addicting and life changing, which makes it totally worth the three bucks.
The Numerology & Astrology app ($2.99) takes your individual profile and gives your horoscope including special sections titled “About Me,” “Birth Chart” and “Numerology.” You also have the ability to track more than one profile, making it easy to keep track for a partner or friend. This is a fun astrology app with multiple functions like a zodiac sign finder, name harmonizer and even love quotes.
Events are the primary focus of the free Horoscope Social & Personal Astrology app by Astrolome. It calculates your horoscope from your date, time and place of birth predicting general events that may take place in various areas of your life on any given day. It also shows which public figures or celebrities may be experiencing the same type of events as you. The social component allows you to connect with friends and share experiences on social networks.
Astrology Apps Just for Fun
The makers of the Classical Music Master Collection make apps filled with classical music customized for each astrology sign. The Classical Music for Scorpio app ($4.99) includes more than fifty hours of soothing and inspiring classical favorites from famous composers. The app takes up a lot of space on my iPod Touch, but it makes for a very peaceful workday.
If you are headed to a dinner party with a lover of astrology as host, check out the WineSigns app ($0.99). This app predicts wines that folks of certain astrology signs will love to sip and swill.
A Love Match is perfect for those whose enjoyment of astrology has never ventured past the “does he love me or love me not?” stage of elementary school. Simply enter your names (no horoscopes involved) and out comes a simple percentage prediction of whether your love will survive or not. Upgrade to the deluxe version for $1.99 and fix the percentage rates.
