This app provides you with a free, fun and easy way to adjust the appearance of still images. The cropping tool makes cropping easy. You can adjust the exposure, saturation, tint and contrast, and turn your image into black and white or into sketch. You can sharpen or soften your image, change the border or choose a frame.
I like the ease with which changes can be made. Sliding your finger across the image while using a feature, such as contrast, allows you to control how much of that filter you want to apply. A number at the top of the screen changes so that you can quantify the amount of change you are making.
There’s not much of a learning curve, but you do have to get to know each filter and how much change is produced by your finger movement. For a free app, PS Mobile does a great job at adjusting images.

Photo Captions
This is an entertaining app that allows you to add icons (photograph-quality “shapes”) to your images or to create new images using just these shapes and other features such as backgrounds, text, and frames. There is a slight learning curve as you get used to changing the shape and orientation of images and icons. The bigger your fingers/smaller the image, the more challenging these controls can be, as these manipulations are controlled through the pinching and twisting gestures available on the touch screen. But once you get the hang of it, you’ll enjoy it.

iGraffiti
This was one of the first apps I got when I first bought my iPod Touch in 2008. I like Stone Software- great customer support and good products. With iGrafitti I’ve created some nice looking images. You can choose a photo from your library (or take a photo using your iPhone) and then dress it up using paintbrush tools. You don’t have to start with an image at all, however; a background of any color makes a great backdrop for your art. The brushes can be adjusted for size and shape, and colors can be adjusted from transparent to solid. Strokes can be narrow or thick, squared off or rounded, solid or “dotted” (like a dotted line). You can even create a “shadow” line in a contrasting color, making for interesting designs. Save your image, send it to someone, or upload it to Stone’s gallery. I created three of my favorite little works of art using iGrafitti! You’ll have fun with it, too.
