This puzzle iPhone app is a refreshing take on the Chinese tangram, offering three styles of play: “classic,” “arcade” and “replica.” Basically, a tangram is a puzzle consisting of seven shapes, or “tans,” that are formed into one distinctive shape without overlapping.
In the classic mode, your goal is the traditional tangram puzzle. Take the seven colorful tans and fit them perfectly into the given mold. The “arcade” mode mixes it up nicely. In this mode, you most fit the one distinctive shape over a mosaic screen of the right group of seven tans. The twist is, you might need to flip your shape by taping, or rotate your shape by turning your iPhone to make it fit. In the “replica” mode, tap the seven different color tans that replicate the white mold.
