J. Love iPhone app brings a touch of comic horror to our iPhones

Leave it to the woman whose body is allegedly a wonderland to bring her wholesome sex appeal to market an app-style horror comic. At first I was skeptical, but I have to admit the Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Music Box #1 app ($1.99) left me wanting more. Bring it, J. Love.

The comic tells the tale of an unsatisfied forensic scientist who stumbles across a music box and against his better judgment, takes the box home with him. That’s when everything goes awry.

The art in the comic is gritty and good. The story is suspenseful without being overdone. The app functions make it easy to flip through. And overall, the app is way better than the current episodes of Hewitt’s latest TV show, Ghost Whisperer. Who knew Hewitt had a little Hitchcock in her?

This app is a unique endeavor for Hewitt, and I applaud her for the out-of-the-box effort. If you’re a comic fan or a Ghost Whisperer fan, you’ll love this app. We know what you did last summer J. Love, and we like it!
