For those high school girls who have spent months agonizing over finding the perfect prom dress, help is here! The iPhone app, iProm Dress, promises to keep you organized as you scour boutiques and Web sites for the getup that will encourage you to get down.
The seasonal app allows you to create an alphabetized list of dresses (there doesn’t appear to be a limit to how many, so go crazy!), and then record and store pertinent information about them.
Information captured on iProm Dress includes the designer, style, color, silhouette, neckline, length, fabric and price. You can also log the name of the store and its telephone number, in case you need to check on the availability of the dress. Unfortunately, the app does not include any features related to accessories, such as shoes, jewelry, hair and makeup.
Of course, no purchase as big as a prom dress can be made without consulting all of your BFFs and family! But what if Mom couldn’t make it to the store the day you saw the dress of your dreams? The iProm Dress app allows you to take pictures of the dress (or you in the dress) that can be shared with interested parties at a later time.
The app is straightforward and easy to navigate. Now if only it could help you land a hot date.
