Photography apps are ridiculously easy to find in the App Store. There are quite literally hundreds of options to choose from and it can be really hard to find one that works for you. I personally prefer Apple’s default option for taking pictures, but one app did catch my eye. Instagram is a simple app for taking pictures and sharing them with the world.
What makes this app so special to me is the different retro filters you can apply to your images which really add a neat look to your shots. The app is focused around a Twitter-like follow feature where you can find different users and follow their updates. For power users this is an amazing way to find other awesome photography. Casual users will be happy to find they can take a photo, add an effect, and immediately post a link to it on Facebook, Twitter, and other popular services.
It was kind of disappointing that the post only includes a link to the Instagram website, but the app itself was definitely worth it, especially since it’s free. Check it out.
