The Asphalt series from Gameloft has never really been the best racing series available, in my opinion. It lacked the polish in other games like Real Racing 2 and missed the addicting gameplay found in games like Need for Speed. Still, it is a fun series and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline brings a ton of fun gameplay elements to pick from.
The game seems to borrow from a variety of racing games that have come out recently. It offers a wide variety of licensed cars, plenty of exotic locations, and some pretty fun modes. The game offers the traditional career play, free mode, and multiplayer that can be expected in pretty much any racing game.
The graphics look great and the gameplay can be most compared to old arcade games like California Rush. The first thing I noticed was the need to bump up the control sensitivity. It just did not seem very responsive.
Aside from a few quirks, the various game modes and gameplay elements kept it a fresh experience and definitely make it a worthwhile purchase. Check it out.
