To activate your fring iPhone app, you first create a basic profile with a username and password. From there, you can add all of the various accounts you have for digital communication, such as MSN Messenger, Twitter and AIM.
All contacts from the accounts are combined into one buddy list. Select a contact, and you are given the option to chat, ‘fring’ call (place a call over the internet) or video chat.
The call and video chat options don’t work for each account, but they do work for Skype and several other international Internet phone networks that are usable via this iPhone app.
