According to Japanese site Kodawarisan, Apple is planning to hold a public event on Wednesday, September 7. While Apple traditionally holds music-related events in early September, speculation is rampant that the upcoming event would be the showcase for a new iPhone 5 and perhaps more iOS devices.
This is largely because this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, which is usually when Apple debuts a new iPhone, was mostly focused on iCloud and other music and media storage initiatives. What else is left to debut?
A new industry-changing iPhone 5, as well as perhaps a cheaper lower-end model have been rumored for months. Heck, we may even see the inkling of an iPad 3 or something else we can’t even fathom.
No matter what, this will be a lot more exciting than anything Exxon could ever host. Stay tuned.
