iPad App Video Review: Qwiki

Instead of providing the whole information, Qwiki gives users a small summary about the topic and puts it in a small presentation using videos and pictures found from a variety of sources. The app has the versatility of Wikipedia, but won’t overwhelm you with details you may not be interested in. There is even an emphasis on location so users can find information about topics in their area.

Of course, if a user wants to find out more info instead of just looking at a few pictures and listening to a short summary, they can tap one of the links to Wikipedia, YouTube, Google, and Fotopedia. The app wasn’t without its shortcomings, though. There was only support for the iPad at the time of this review and the app only worked in landscape mode.

The app is available for free in the App Store though so definitely check it out and start learning about some things in your area or around the world.
