Interview Pro a help only to novices

If you’re looking for a new job, save your $1.99 for printing more copies of your resume and not on Interview Pro.

The app is intended to help you answer tough interview questions but instead gives canned responses to the most commonly asked interview questions. If you have an ounce of common sense, you won’t need this app.

Interview Pro provides more than 70 topics organized into 11 categories. Unfortunately, most of the categories have only one question and one answer. Many of the topics could be combined under fewer categories to de-clutter the user interface. Also, there’s an ad within the app for another app by the developer; clicking on it takes you to the iTunes App Store, where you can spend another $1.99 on an app called A+ Interview Brain Puzzles. According to the developer, that app has 50+ probability and logic brain teasers for interviews with high-tech companies such as Google, Yahoo, Microsoft or Facebook.

The only valuable information in Interview Pro (which could be valuable to someone who is new to a career search) is the “Wrapping Up” section that discusses questions to ask your interviewer, questions not to ask and how to choose your references.
